I’m a Gartin! Joe Gartin was my grandfather – a long line of Elijah and Uriah’s all the way back to William. I miss your Lincoln County War; what’s new with the book?
Hi, Virginia. It’s great to hear from you. Thanks for asking about “Lincoln County War.” Several months ago, I secured a publishing deal for LCW. As a result, I removed posts relating to the feud story from my blog. You can still find some feud information here under the stories titled “In Search of Ed Haley.” LCW has been re-titled “Blood in West Virginia: Brumfield v. McCoy” and will be available this spring through Pelican Publishing in Gretna, LA.
My great grandmother was a Brumfield. And we may be cousins – Phyllis Kirk in your family?
Yes, we are likely related. And yes, Phyllis Kirk is my mother.
