Love this picture, Brandon. Marshall Cottrell was Sylvia O’Brien’s great-uncle, and a member of the Mocassin Rangers guerilla band (Confederate) from Calhoun & Clay counties during the Civil War. She gave me this picture. It’s an original tintype. Wilson Douglas’ great-grandfather Martin Douglas was also in the Rangers, along with his brother Joshua Douglas who was married to Confederate spy Nancy Hart.
